Born in Schwaebisch Hall, Germany. Lives and works in Berlin.

Since 2009 Art director of the festival for contemporary music Klangwerkstatt Berlin - Festival fuer Neue Musik.

1997 – 2002 Founding member of the interdisciplinary artist group WEISS Kunstbewegung. Manager and art director of various transmedia group projects (series of concerts, theatre, exhibitions).

1990 – 1994 Composition studies with Helmut Lachenman at the Stuttgart Conservatory, Composition seminar with Boguslaw Schaeffer, Isang Yun and with Gottfried Michael Koenig.

1982–1990 Studied at Staedtische Akademie fuer Tonkunst Darmstadt (Guitar with Wilfried Senger, Composition with Toni Voelker. Guitar teacher both at the music school in Crailsheim, Germany, and private.

Numerous performances and radio broadcasts at home and abroad, cross-media projects, theater work, performances.

Cooperations i.a. with Minguet Quartett Koeln, trio accanto Freiburg, ensemble mosaik Berlin, ensemble recherche Freiburg, Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin KNM, Deutsches Streichtrio Muenchen, RSO Stuttgart, Ensemble Ars Ludi Rom, Ensemble Phorminx Frankfurt/M, elole Klaviertrio Dresden, Ensemble LUX_NM Berlin, Ensemble Apparat Berlin.

Lectures and seminars amongst others at Columbia University, Department of Music New York City, University Potsdam, Humbold University Berlin and at Karlsruhe Conservatory.
