Yasutaki Inamori

Yasutaki Inamori (b. 1978 in Tokyo) lives in Cologne/Germany and is laureate of the renowned Bernd Alois Zimmermann Grant 2011. He studied composition at the Tokyo Gakugei University with Masahiro Yamauchi, moved to Germany to study at the Music University of Cologne, from 2009 on with Johannes Schöllhorn and later from 2011 with Michael Beil. In 2011, he passed the post graduate examination (”Konzertexamen”).
Inamori is an internationally active artist, his music has been performed in Germany, the USA, Belgium, the Netherlands, Mexico, Japan. He collaborated with musicians and ensembles such as the Gürzenich Orchestra in Cologne, the New Japan Philharmonic, the Tokyo Philharmonie Orchestra, l’instant donné, Ensemble NOMAD, Ensemble Hand-Werk, the Forseti saxophone quartet, Dirk Rothbrust, and Carin Levine.
He has received a number of prizes and grants. 2009–2012, Inamonri is stipend of Rohm Music Foundation Japan.
