Alois Bröder

Born in 1961 in Darmstadt, Bröder studied at the Akademie für Tonkunst guitar (with Olaf Van Gonnissen) as well as composition (with Cord Meijering, Dietrich Boekle, and Toni Völker). As a composer, Bröder continued his studies later in Düsseldorf with Manfred Trojahn and in Cologne with Hans Ulrich Humpert, studying electronic composition. Alois Bröder has received numerous prices and scholarships (i.e. Cité des Arts Paris, 1998, and German Study Center Venice, 2011). Bröders works have been performed by prestigious groups such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the RTV Slovenija Symphony Orchestra Ljubljana, and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Hannover.
