"Composition that unfolds from a monophonic melody with associative reference to different musical styles and means of expression in a series of shorter or longer musical situations.

A one-movement work consisting of a sequence of ten sections in total, one of which can be skipped; the impression of a continuous stream of thought is conveyed despite the changing means of composition and areas of expression.

Ordinary notation, which is easy to decipher despite rhythmic intricacies, but is extended to three staves in one section. ...

The composition offers many creative possibilities; particularly attractive is the contrast between stricter, rhythmically precisely structured passages and sections that suggest a freer approach due to their imprecise, fluctuating tempo indications."
